Prizes, Scholarships and Donations

The London Ballet Circle provides financial support to student dancers. Typically, we pay for children to attend dance summer schools such as the Yorkshire Ballet Summer School, Northern Ballet's Summer School or Francesca Filpi's Wells Weekends. We ask school principals to select naturally gifted students who, without the London Ballet Circle's financial support, would be unable to attend such specialist coaching sessions.

Although we are a very small charity, as more families face financial difficulties, the London Ballet Circle wants to help even more students to have the chance to be coached by the world's leading dancers and teachers at the country's most highly regarded summer schools. To do this we need money. Any donation that you can make, no matter how much, will be put to very good use in helping students. Donations can be made very easily through PayPal, by clicking on the 'Donate' button below

If you prefer, donations can be made by cheque made payable to "The London Ballet Circle" and sent to:

    Legacies

On several occasions members have approached our Honorary Treasurer to ask how to proceed should they wish to leave a legacy to The London Ballet Circle.

We are very grateful for the generosity that prompts these enquiries and if anybody is interested in making such a bequest would they please get in touch with our Honorary Treasurer, Susan Johnson, at the following address: Susan has a straightforward form that she will send you.

    Gift Aid

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity.

Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, as a charity The London Ballet Circle will currently receive an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue. This means that a £10 Gift Aid donation is worth £12.50 to us - and it doesn't cost you a thing.

It can apply to donations of any amount, large or small, cash, cheque, postal order, direct debit, standing order, debit or credit card or even in a foreign currency. A single Gift Aid declaration can apply to your current and all future donations.

On top of this, individuals paying tax at the 40% rate can reclaim as much as £25 for themselves from the taxman for every £100 donated to charity, by including details of their Gift Aid donations on their Self Assessment form. Individuals paying tax at the new 50% rate can claim £37.50

Next time you give a donation look out for the Gift Aid section on the donation form or appeal, fill in the declaration and send it off.
